Care for nature and the environment is not something new to Hinton Admiral - generations of sympathetic care have produced a haven for both flora and fauna. Green-winged, early purple and marsh orchids pop up throughout the gardens; tway blades and helleborines are spread through the natural bluebell avenue; the indigenous wild daffodil proliferates under the oak woodland canopy.

Red, sika, roe, fallow and muntjac deer browse outside the garden's deer fence. Badgers, stoats and weasels live secretly in the undergrowth.
Dozens of buzzards patrol the woodland margins, barn and tawny owls call out every evening.
